The Navan Arts & Crafts Group

The very first craft sale in Navan was held in 1978 at St Mary’s Hall on the third weekend in November .Participants were a group of artists and crafts persons who lived in the local community.

As the number of interested exhibitors grew, the show moved to the then new Navan Memorial Arena in 1982.  Two of the original group of Artisans continue to exhibit today - Faye Lyon and Doreen Hardiman.  The Navan show continues to feature one of a kind hand made creations of the highest quality.

The juried Navan show would not exist without the continuing community involvement. Over the years we have had unwavering attendance by people from Hammond, Sarsfield, Carlsbad Springs, Cumberland, Vars and Kars and even from as far away as Cornwall. In some instances attending our show has become a family tradition.

For the past 20 or so years we have accepted donations to the Orleans Cumberland Community Resource Centre Christmas program in lieu of admission fees. We can proudly state that through community generosity $20,000.00 has been collected for the Food Bank.

This year will mark the 33rd year of the Navan Arts and Crafts Group Christmas show and we celebrate with this step into the cyber world and launch of our website. We hope that it is an informative site and will let you keep us in mind over the rest of the year.

Although we are a small show, in comparison, we believe what we bring to the Artisan  community sets us apart. The continued commitment to creating only the finest goods is evident at every booth and in the face of every Artisan.
